Description
Looking down from the old rusty bridge on a frozen bank below gave me many beautiful images to reflect upon. The day was a bitterly cold Ohio day and I was out walking, trying to remember the joy of my little doggie companion for the past 16 years....and trying to forget the pain of her death. Mother Nature did her best to distract me....showing beauty such as this all along the way. It seems to me the ice is spotted with the glow of tiny stars. It is cold and hard and gritty, just like life, but not without hope and promise.

Lovely neutrals and textural variety for this single bright leaf. My Pick of the Day in the Best of Minimalism in Photography group for February 1.

Great capture and composition. Very tranquil. Bitter cold days can bring great images.
