Description
Yes, I love butterflies. I have not been able to see many this summer, but this one was sure a beauty! If you ever need to lift your spirits, find a field with flowers, be still and let the butterflies and the birds speak to you! You will soon have a smile on your face.
Please consider doing a small part to help the survival of these beautiful unique creatures. visit Monarchwatch.org and get information on what needs to be done to help. You can order seed packets of plants that butterflies thrive on. The Monarch must have Milkweed plants and our society is wiping that plant off the face of the earth. Please consider finding a spot you could plant Milkweed. If you know an organization that might be interested in helping, Monarchwatch.org will send FREE Milkweed seed to you. So do something, if you can! http://monarchwatch.org/bring-back-the-monarchs/milkweed/free-milkweeds
You will receive much more than you give.

You are so right, Susan! I usually have 20-30 butterflies in my yard on any given summer day...this year I was lucky to see little Cabbage Whites and Sulphurs! Only had 2 Monarchs! very sad...plant Milkweed everyone!!

I've always loved this kind of butterflies, their wings seems to be done by ink and watercolors, and you caught it very well! F/V
Karen Adams replied:
They are so beautiful aren't they? Love the idea of ink and watercolors! Their life cycle story is really fascinating which makes me love them even more! Thanks, Ale
