When I saw these two tiny creatures sharing one tall purple verbena flower in my Ohio garden, I wondered if they were happy to share or was one, or both of them annoyed that someone else was eating at their table? It seemed a delicate balance between the two as they both ate a light lunch and then both flew quickly away without even leaving a tip!
This is a really lovely Black Swallowtail butterfly (ventral view) and a large bumblebee. The balance and workings of nature always fascinates me! It is so completely complicated and yet so utterly simple, when natural order is followed. We are so blessed with the beauty of the Earth!
