Description
The original version of this is in color and captures the scene as it was in reality...full of late summer color. But for me, it was more of a black and white moment. It is more about the feeling than the scene and I think, for me, this is the feeling. I described the color version this way:
A new way to spend some time has entered my weekly routine. I am lucky it is this far in my life before I have to make these visits to be with ones I love. I clean their sites and put flowers out. I stand in silence for quite some time...every now and then the silence is broken by the sounds of dogs barking, or cows mooing or roosters crowing. It is out in the country. A farm is right across the street. I am sure Mom and Dad love those sounds. I am usually all alone in the stillness. This late Sunday afternoon, I walked around with my camera. There is an old building, probably the office at one time, that stands near-by. Many of the markers are for those who lived back in the 1800s and early 1900s. Our family has several plots, so they are all together. Joined in a big circle. I feel such peace out there...and a presence...This scene shows what I feel.
