Description
This old building seems to have been used as the office for a tiny cemetery out in the Ohio countryside. My great grandparents owned a farm in this small community of Plain City, Ohio. I have a picture of a great uncle driving through town in one of the first automobiles in town. When my mother was young, she would ride the train from Boston to Ohio to spend the summer in this quiet rural setting. This small plot of Holy land has grown through the years, but if you walk back into the oldest section of the cemetery you will find a family plot where my great great grandparents, great grandparents, grandparents and now my parents are at peace. It is a very quiet place. I rarely see others there when I visit. There is noise from the surrounding farm animals that I am sure my Mom, especially would love! I wonder about the scenes and sorrow that this old building has stood in silence and observed. I am glad that the paint is old and worn. I feel such a bond with my family there...those I knew and loved and those I never knew.
