Description
Part of my Series: "Barking Up a Tree."
I really do not know what kind of tree this is, but the bark is sure eye catching! The tree leaves are small, not like a Sycamore or London Plane. In this summer heat, I find I hurry along the hot bright sidewalks til I get to the cool islands of tree shade. My pup slows down and so do I! It gives me plenty of time to enjoy the modest breeze there and the beauty of the tree trunks. I guess trying to figure out what kind of tree this is really doesn't matter. I'd be barking up the wrong tree. I will not look this 'gift tree' in the mouth . . . . . . .ok, it's hot!!
Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much.
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!

Wow i love this magnificent and fascinating capture Karen!! the pattern, textures and colours of the bark created a fantasy world that our imagination is the only limit. i did saw couple of vision. first i saw a portal opening in the middle on a universe, welcoming space travelers to pass through to another dimension and time. then i saw a glorious sunrise in a mountainous landscape, shredding light, peace and hope to the world. i love this image Karen! my cup of tea!! I see different things, get unique feelings from this one too . . today, I see an injury, something that has been cut off and is healing . . . and the body is wrapping it in love and comfort!
