Description
I keep changing my mind as to what the title should be for this image. I like "Lines on the Beach" and then recently a different name came to my mind "Ebb and Flow." The later gives it a broader meaning to me . . .but then I think maybe that is the whole point of this scene . . . it was constantly changing . . . each click of the camera shutter brought forth a unique composition . . . this was one second in time. Constant change is the only guarantee this world gives us. My Mom's favorite saying was, "This too shall pass." So I will just leave the name as "Beach Art Black and White" and let my perspective on any given day give me a new name for it.
With the beauty of the Florida Gulf coast water, I was pretty surprised to see that I really liked taking all of the color out of this image! I think making it black and white gives all the emphasis to the patterns and flow of this image. It is a beach scene, but mostly I see an abstract . . . that was just right in front of me at the beach!
Thank you so much for taking time to look through my images and collections. I really appreciate your time!
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!

This is a very interesting image with great POV and composition, and even more your decision to do it in B&W. Congratulations Karen. (l/f)

I came to favorite this but I see I already commented and favorited months ago. So, here is an encore! Excellent shot! And it does feel like "Ebb and Flow."
Karen Adams replied:
Haha! I find I do that sometimes as well . . . must mean you really like it . . . I take that as a big compliment. Thanks Dimitris

I like the way the natural smooth motion of the waves complements the rough man-made sense of motion I feel from the fence. L/F and one of my PoDs, Best of Minimalism, March 10, 2018.
