Description
I have not been taking pictures lately. Life grabbed my world and shook it real good and I have had no eyes to see new pictures. Finally today, I looked and saw something that made me want to take a picture again. I was on my normal walk, which has been anything but normal the past month or so. Today, I saw this lovely little green topped acorn resting on the ground in front of me and I thought how lovely it was. It's life is done, but what remains is still beautiful and a treasure.
Life can fall away, suddenly and with absolutely no warning. We are left to observe the impact of that life . . . the wonderful ways it has touched other lives and even in death how it can affect those that still go on. There is beauty in the remembering. There is joy eventually in the memories. There is hope in the quiet reminders that it's spirit is still here . . . like that acorn that fell and hit my shoulder . . . I think to get my attention. The leaves may fall. The acorns may drop, but life goes on in a new way.
I look at a tall white oak, so strong and stately. It seems it will always be there, but the beauty of the fall is that when it no longer stands and returns to the earth, its spirit lives on through the acorn.
Be safe. Love one another and love Mother Earth.
I really appreciate you taking time to look at my artwork. Thank you so much!
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!

Thank you, Fernando . . . it is slow . . . really can't say I am back, but will be eventually.

I love the softness of this image, the perfect capped acorn on a fallen branch of leaves against the white deck. And LOVE your description! I am so happy for you that God got your attention with His little acorn creation to inspire you to once again to capture the beauty that you see. I, also love the outdoors and all of God's creations and think...what a wonderful world with all it's beauty. My house has quite a few mighty oak trees that now have grown with thousands of fingers bending over the roof. And boy oh boy are they dropping thousands of acorns in my yard on all over my deck this year! The acorn, the seed of the oak. Proof that trees grow on! L/F

Just fabulous Karen. As always your words carry such meaning, and are blessings to us all. Cant imagine how tough the last little while has been for you and your family. Sending prayers your way. Find comfort in the loved ones around you as they surround you with their love and support. Your view and outlook on this world provide inspiration and hope to so many. May you find the peace and understanding that you have shared with us through your pictures and words, that have touched us all. God Bless...:-)
