Description
I love the structure and beauty found in nature . . . even as a blossom dries and begins to fade away, there is beauty. This is a zinnia flower that was once bright and lovely pink when seen from above. . . . but as I sat below and looked up, I was happy to see the lovely sepal of this bloom. The sepal is responsible for protecting the budding flower from damage in its infancy stage. and also graciously cradles the mature flower at its base . . . . kind of like loving parents to their children! But just like parents, the sepal is happy for the flower (child) to get all the attention and to bloom to its glory!

Karen, the viewpoint selected by you to capture is Zinnia is brilliant. It is the study of the beauty of a flower from behind with lovely colors and texture. Lovely designs and patterns too. Love that soft lighting also. L/F

I like the "different" angle on the flower and the story of the sepal of the flower! Happy New Year, Karen. V/F
