Description

This is called a Christmas cactus, but all the years I have known this plant, it has bloomed at Thanksgiving. For many years it belonged to my mother, who really had a green thumb and so I was always surprised that it didn't know when it was supposed to bloom. Maybe Ohio weather has throne it off. When my folks downsized, I adopted this into my family. I am not as religious in my care of house plants, but many of them survive in spite of me. I am so happy this one continues to bloom and add beauty to my world, even if it is in November. For several reasons that month has some sad anniversaries and I like to think that I am getting hugs from heaven when I look at these beautiful blooms!
