Description
This was the last "Common" Buckeye butterfly I saw in my Ohio garden. I took this back in 2015. They are beautiful little brown butterflies that don't call too much attention to themselves, until the sunlight shines on them in just the right way. Then you see their stunning beauty and iridescent colors of their 'eyes,' their 'buckeyes.'
I am not sure why I do not see them anymore. Living in the Buckeye State seems very sad without my little Buckeye friends.
