Description
I am going to let my dad explain this to you. We had a lot of historic items in our home, so mom and dad carefully documented many things. Keeping the information on index cards with a picture and description of each item. This is what dad wrote about this beautiful pitcher;
"Amber Glass pitcher handmade at Blenko Glass in Huntington, W. Virginia. Designed by George Wood. This is one of a kind. It was made on an Industrial Design seminar at Blenko in my early days at Federal Glass...about 1960. Everyone at the seminar could make a design and the craftsmen there made it while we watched."
Needless to say, this is very special to me!
I really appreciate you taking time to look at my artwork. Thank you so much!
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!

Wow, this is excellent. The beautiful amber colored glass, the subtle shadows of the window blind with just a touch of the blind showing. Truly awesome work! * * * F/L
