There is actually a great variety of looks when it comes to an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail as you will see as I load more images into this gallery. This particular Eastern Tiger Swallowtail is probably the most beautiful one I have ever seen! It was late Sunday afternoon of a very busy weekend. I was sad I hadn't had the chance to be out in my garden all weekend, so I went out with my new camera hoping to see something before the sun set. Boy! am I ever glad I did not give up on that day! Dancing around one of my Butterfly bushes was this beauty. It paused for minutes on flowers giving me nice opportunities to get some pictures. It seemed to know how beautiful it was and posed like a seasoned model! These are the hindwings that just glow with beautiful iridescent blues!
