Description
This picture was taken in August 1929 of my Grandfather with my mom and her big brother. I really love this picture. My grandfather was quite dapper and was a very successful salesman. I know he had to travel a lot, so I can imagine how special it was for the kids to get to have dad for the entire day. Looking at this picture though, I can't help but wonder why my hair is so straight!

That was meant to mean, "I love these old beach scenes". Reminds me of ones of my mom and dad as young married kids.

Really well preserved photo - background tells a lot about this family as well...and the man supporting it.

Yes, your grandfather is quite a looker here! Love all that thick curly hair! Looks like your mom and uncle got a little of it! :D I like the squinched up faces your mom and uncle have from looking into the sun! haha! I have a few of my grandkids like that! It is a treasure to have a close family and have the wonderful roots and memories. I really don't have that as my mom and dad split when I was 5 and never heard from or met him till many yrs later. and my mom was in foster homes all her life so I don't never got to meet any reletives from either side. I always missed that and promised myself that my children would not go through that,. Well sorry to ramble. Seems your shots have dug a well of emotions in me. f and really love them all! :D

Well, it is good to have emotions flow from artwork, so I really appreciate you sharing that! I'm sure your children have had a rich life growing up with you as their mom! I hope that helps some.
