Description
Frozen Fall
Clear cold skies lit with moonshine bright
Tiny dew drops glisten under sparkling starlight
Early sun’s cool rising rays reveal
Earth’s beauty that warmth will soon steal
Frozen feathers etch fallen leaves so still
Magical crystal ice in dawn’s deep chill
Leaf veins brushed with glittery traces
Of delicate jewels and frozen laces.

Fall is Calling
Time to leave its lofty heights
Breaking off for a solo flight
Riding waves on the whim of wind
Floating, gliding, silent spin
Curling, swirling twirling down
Gently nestle on cushioned ground
Resting peacefully with no sound
Earth’s humble glory all around
Now resting with old friends below
Forming Autumn’s amber glow
A stillness, a silence, nature’s hush
No clocks, no hurry, there’s no rush
Dew filled mornings kissed with frost
Glittering jewels so soon lost
Melting in sun’s early rays
Of cold bright blue sky days
Shuffling footsteps scatter crunch
The brown crinkled, wrinkled bunch
The glory of yesterday now covered in snow
Just a sweet memory of a glorious show
While it’s here drink in the moments
The hot chocolate, cider and donuts
Hug each moment of each leaf falling
Mother Earth sings when Fall is calling!
