Life can be so unpredictable. One minute, you think you know what you are going to do next, but then in an instant life changes. It's ok to make plans, but always know that we are not truly in charge. We respond to what happens in the world around us and to us and that is life. It's not bad, but sometimes it is hard. And so on this late snowy afternoon as I carefully walked my pup around the icy block, I was deep in thought on two things. One: not falling and two: how to deal with the new events in life. Things had changed and I was finding little time to do many things I love, like take pictures.
But this caught my eye, as we made our way up the driveway. A small frozen sculpture was clinging to a garden stake and the streetlight behind was lighting it in a magical way. I hurriedly put the dog inside and grabbed my camera and stand. For 5 minutes I tried to get a good shot of this natural magical gift. Then I hurried inside to deal with the new issues of life, but that little chunk of ice and those few moments gave me a breath of freshness and joy. It reminded me to always be willing to look around and be grateful for every little part of being alive and to take a minute or five to appreciate it!

Wow i love this stunning capture that is filled with magical colours and mood Karen!! here comes the rabbit hole again lol... i see the black stick as a life path we planned and expected. and the frozen formation is what life really are in real life, full of twist and turns and surprises. as much as the frozen reality of life is not going the same way as the expectation of life, i see a deeper message. that when there is a will , there is always a new way. and that our mind is limited and can only think of life as a straight black stick that go from A to B. but in actual, life is limitless filled with infinite possibilities, and can go and expand in any direction life needs to take you. just be open and have faith that you are on the right path even though it may not seems that way in first sight. at the end, the frozen path can lead one to places that the black stick never can. faith is the key to the universe full of blessings... somebody lift me out of the rabbit hole please i just lost sight to the surface lol... Very deep and insightful image!!! L/F
