Description
I love my garden! This image shows you why. I simply have to stand out there for a while and be quiet . . . and wait. It doesn't take too long before a visitor catches my eye and I am off on my mission. . . to capture their beauty to share with others. My Dad showed me this joy that is in the world. It is there for all of us. When I started paying attention is when I started to see them and now butterflies fill my warm weather days with such happiness . . . and even my cold weather days. . . as I sit in my den on a snowing February night and look at the beauty of a Giant Swallowtail Butterfly drinking from a tall purple Verbena flower. For a few moments I am transported to a warm summer day and it makes me smile!

One night, a Chinese sage had a dream in which he was a butterfly fluttering over meadows and gardens. When he woke up, he sat at the edge of his bed and thought, "Am I a human who just dreamed he was a butterfly or am I a butterfly who is now dreaming he's a human." good question. I'm reminded of a statement by Edgar Alan Poe : "All that we are or seem to be is a dream within a dream." Your biography, my dear Karen, is lovely; and so is your work.
