Description
This is one of my earlier butterfly shots and also one of my most popular. This is a ventral view of a Giant Swallowtail butterfly. It really captures the beauty of the beautiful yellow wings with black bands and gorgeous touches of orange and blue! This was a really beautiful Giant Swallowtail!
Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much.
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!

I love how you captured the motion - stilling the foreground flowers and butterfly wings - it's as if you captured the focus of the butterfly itself.
