As the title gives away, this is one of a series taken on a very cold, but sunny, Ohio day.

On a cold winter day, the low sun shone brightly through my window, casting beautiful long color reflections that looked like liquid spilling onto the window sill. It is a beauty that you cannot hold . . . you cannot pick it up and take it with you . . . and if you wait too long it will be gone. I am thankful that I had the few free minutes to capture this gift, so that I can treasure it for years to come.

The golden yellow glass is very special to me as it is a one of a kind vase made by Blenko Glass from my father's design. . . . truly worth more than gold to me now! . . . . Each colorful glass piece has a family story to it and it seemed that heaven was shining through to show me that the love I feel when I look at these is being reflected right back to me in the warmth of the winter sun.

When I see reflections and shadows, I always think of the impact our lives have outside of ourselves. Most times we are totally unaware of the reflections we leave behind us, but I sure hope they are beautiful rainbow ones!
