Description
It was still November in Ohio, but the meteorologist called for snow in the forecast. I awoke the next day to the peaceful stillness of a white blanket of snow and more giant flakes were still falling fast. Dreading the shoveling that lay ahead, I was at first not too happy to see this development in the weather so early in the season. But after getting the driveway cleared, I had time to soak in the quiet of my backyard covered in this beauty of nature. The only sound was that of the birds, lots of birds, flocking around my bird feeders. There were cardinals, wrens, sparrows, chickadees, wood peckers, and finches. This little goldfinch was all fluffed up trying to stay warm against the cold. I loved how the wet snow was sticky to every branch. There was beauty every where I looked. Soon I was more than happy that snow had come early this year!

It is always amazes me how these little birds survive in the cold while we need so much to cover ourselves in order to stay alive... You made it look fantastic Karen. Also I love the patterns being generated by the branches!! FL
