I looked out my window one very cold and snowing winter day in Ohio. It was a grey scene for the most part with brown trees and shrubs. The falling white snow was steadily collecting to a decent depth on the frozen ground. To my great delight just outside my window sat this lovely female American Goldfinch. I really wanted to open that window and ask her to come into the warmth inside my home, but I knew she would not welcome the offer. So, I got my camera, instead, and clicked a few shots to remember her glorious beauty on a cold winter's day!
