What a lovely dandelion and statement. I remember making curls with the stems...slicing three or four slits and then with our tongue, pushing the stem into ringlets. Did anyone else do this? I can still taste the bitter juices. So special.

I never did that, Nancy, but I'm sure many others did! I remember braving bees & picking Honeysuckle blooms off the bushes growing over our backyard fence. We would bite off the base of the flower & suck the tiny bit of sweetness from them! A much simpler time when I was young!!!
