Description
I stood for a long time trying to get pictures of several Red-winged blackbirds in a field near my house. I could hear them chirping and chipping in the reeds. I could see some of them, but there was a marshy bog between them and me. So I stood as still as possible trying to be invisible. They were pretty wise to me though and pretty much proved to have gotten the best of me. I stood wishing I had a much better zoom lens for many minutes, but mostly I stood in the cool crisp sunshine and just enjoyed the fresh air and the sounds of nature.
Finally a couple of these guys came closer and I was able to take a few shots . . . and then one of them decided he had enough and he was out of there!

Great capture of this Red WingED Blackbird. Looks awesome in selective colour too, really pops. Great moment to capture his /her wings at the perfect moment. Patience is indeed a virtue....well done Karen. It is nice to just be outside these days, so much has been taken for granted, its the little pleasures like this that are the important times...:-)
