Description
When you live in Ohio (or any place where you have wintry weather,) you learn to look for something positive in the snow falls, the cold windy days, the gray skies . . . It is a great time for cleaning out things inside that you have kept putting off. Of course, anybody who goes to school looks forward to those wonderful gifts called 'snow days!' Many find fun in sledding, skiing, snowball fights or building snowmen. Some of us grab our cameras and just go for walks! A world covered in ice or snow creates very different scenes of beauty than when they are bathed in warm sunshine. If you live in Ohio, you have to learn to enjoy these days. I found a really lovely pattern one morning after a night of freezing rain. I was very thankful that I did not have to drive anywhere! So I walked around in the cold to enjoy the tiny works of art formed by that fragile ice melting with the warming of the earth. This little scene just seemed to call me to look into it...into the ice!
I am so concerned with our environment that I have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!
