Description
I was really excited when a lovely Monarch butterfly paused for a moment at this pink Cosmos flower. It was a fall day in my Ohio garden with tall goldenrod, purple Russian Sage and purple Asters blooming in the background. It is September and I hope these creatures start their journey soon. They have a long trip to make to their winter home in Mexico. It takes them about 3 weeks to reach their destination and they stay there until spring when several generations of Monarchs head back up north to make the round trip journey of the Monarch.
