Description
I am a very old child! I love to play outside, chasing butterflies and bugs and birds and interesting creatures. Still can't say I'm fond of snakes, but I let them be. When life is tough though, I find great joy being out in the quiet peace of my garden; alone with my 'friends.'
This one would fly right up to me and circle, kind of checking me out and then would fly around my garden for a minute or so, before finding just that right spot, just that right plant to settle on for a moment. Monarchs, of course, love Milkweed. This is the host plant for Monarch caterpillars and makes them poisonous to their predators. I played the obligatory game of Hide-and-Seek and found her hiding here!
I hope you will consider doing whatever you can in your yard or garden to help out our beautiful friends! Plant Milkweed and learn to enjoy wildflowers!
