Description
This is a vertical shot taken at the same time as my "Orange Sulphur Butterfly TahDah!" image. I am really happy with how the natural background seems to pay homage to this lovely little creature.
August in Ohio is a butterfly lovers favorite month! My garden seems to just burst forth in early August with so many winged visitors. This has been a summer of many extremes. We have had unusually high amounts of rainfall, followed by a week or two of oppressive heat. This doesn't seem to bother my little friends. They continue to come and flutter and flirt with this crazy lady who follows them everywhere. Sulphurs, especially do not linger on any flower for more than a few seconds it seems, so I was thrilled that this one lingered for a moment allowing me to snap a few shots. Usually though, I think they take great joy in seeing my exasperation when I just miss getting that perfect shot! Yet, another lesson learned in my garden. The perfect image is not really the goal; enjoying life and this world is!
