I love the simplicity of a palm leaf...the way light shines on or in this case, through it....creating lines of light and shadow. To me these are simple elegant sculptures of nature. I wanted to reveal most of the front one with the light playing with its texture and still show lovely palms in the background and their subtle beauty. This square format gives it a modern feel.
