Description
When I was young, we had a Rose of Sharon bush in our yard and I loved it! I think these flowers have a tropical look to them, but they are hardy enough to thrive in Ohio through the roughest of winters. And so, when I had a big yard of my own, I planted a dozen of these; four white, four pink and four blue. They now soar far above my head and form a beautiful wall of color between mine and my neighbor's house. I actually now have a few new ones which have popped up in other spots of my yard as well! I especially love that Rose of Sharon flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Their beauty is hard to beat!

Higher classification: Rosemallows
Flower Color: White, red, lavender, or light blue

I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!
