Description
I'm not really sure how I missed putting this image on FAA a long time ago. It was taken back in 2011 when I first started looking for butterflies and taking pictures of them. My dear dad got me hooked on this endeavor and I still feel his heavenly help when I am out looking for a special one to capture with my lens. I did not realize how seldom I would get to see a beautiful Pipevine Swallowtail! This is by far the most beautiful one I have yet to see . . . and it was my first one! The markings are so striking and that shimmering iridescent blue body amazes me every time I look at it! My garden is probably a bit wild for my neighbors liking. . . . lots of wildflowers, but if that makes for a rest stop for these lovely creatures, I am willing to not have a formal garden . . . I'll take this beauty any day!

Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much.
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!
