Description
Pond Paw Print Paths
Perceiving a pair of paw print paths
On the pristine polar pond below
Pet?
Prey?
or predator?
Perplexed and puzzled,
I pondered.
There was just something magical about this scene that captivated me. The frozen water covered with layers of smooth hard ice and coated with powder sugar snow. The coldness glistened and sparkled in the near zero temperatures while the bright sun shone through, pretending to add warmth. Those cool blue shadows stretched across the pure white blanket, reaching out to the warm browns on the encircling banks. And then, I spotted two faint paths of paw prints. One trail came from the far side and towards where I was standing and was obviously older and almost obscured by a light dusting of new snow. The other trail was much more recent and showed that creature's return trip back across the ice. Was it a neighbor's dog, a raccoon, a fox or a coyote? It was a mystery to me and so, for me it was a magical scene.

Wow Karen you captured something so previous!! these paw prints of the animal can vanished any moment but you got it for both trips. what i like more is i can see a shadow of a cross on the white snow around 4 o clock direction (pretending your image is a clock). the first thing come out my mouth is "oh what a blessing". and this is exactly what this image is. a blessing!! Wow! I did not see that cross before! . . . and I really can't figure out what is casting that shadow. There are so many signs in life. Thanks for helping me to see some, Kevin! ♥
