Description
On a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Ohio there was a bright blue sky. Tall white Sycamore trees seemed to be reaching all the way up to the heaves trying to grab the moon from the sky. Such an unusual combination of a bright sunny day, a rich azure blue sky and a clear moon! Although I would say this is a half moon, it is actually a called a quarter moon. This was taken on April 26th, 2015, a Sunday. This is early in the lunar phase and is only 8 days in to the cycle of the Moon. If you follow Zodiac signs, this is Leo! Seen from Earth, illuminated fraction of the Moon surface is 55% and growing larger.
