Description
I have always loved this weed! Maybe the name, Queen Anne's Lace gave it a certain kind of beauty to my mind as a child, along with the story of the Queen pricking her finger and a crop of blood landed in the center of this flower! As a grown-up, I still can't help but see beauty here! Daucus carota is its formal name, but it has many common names as well! Names that include wild carrot, (UK) bird's nest, bishop's lace, and Queen Anne's lace (North America.) I was a bit surprised to find that this plant is actually edible! I enjoy seeing these pop up all over my wild garden every summer!
Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much.
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!

This is so delicate and elegant, Karen! I agree with you, too...I don't see a weed, I see a graceful, delicate cluster of pretty white flowers! Excellent photography my friend! L/F

Thank you, Nancy. They are so delicate and must have inspired the first person who ever made lace!!
