Description
I saw this lovely Queen Anne's Lace "outstanding in her field." I'm sorry, I just really can never resist that very worn old pun! But I did think she was lovely and deserved a little quiet acclaim of her loveliness!
Daucus carota, whose common names include wild carrot, bird's nest, bishop's lace, and Queen Anne's Lace, is a white, flowering plant in the family apiaceae. They are native to temperate regions of Europe and southwest Asia, and naturalized to North America and Australia. They certainly grow 'like weeds' in Ohio . . . . and I love them!
Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much.
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!
