I walk around our neighborhood at night. It is peaceful and quiet. Many times I see beauty and wish I carried my camera at all times! Luckily, this sight stayed long enough for me to go home and head back out with tripod and camera. I loved the pattern the street light cast with the shadow of this tree against a stone retaining wall.
Thank you so much for taking time to look through my images and collections. I really appreciate your time!
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!

Wonderful tones and textures and I like the contrast between the organic form of the tree's foliage and the linear look of the block wall. This is my Pick of the Day in the Best of Minimalism in Photography group for October 6.

Wonderful work, Karen. It makes me think of how ephemeral and lovely organic things are, in comparison to the lifeless qualities of the man made wall behind it.
