Description
Silver-Spotted skipper butterflies are very common in Ohio. They are small and brown and so many times go unappreciated. The large silver patch on the ventral hindwing gives this little cutie its name. When I took this shot though, I thought it was really cool that there seemed to be a spotlight shining down on him. The Heavens were saying, "You are special too!"

Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much.
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!

Beautiful! I'm so glad you did not crop it down as the image has such a simple loveliness to it. L/F

Thanks so much for that comment, William. There is a constant debate at my camera club about cropping . . . I like to include the atmosphere . . . kind of filling in the sound space of my garden. (if that makes any sense!)
