Description
Soft pedal? soft peddle? soft petal?
If you “soft pedal” something, you're toning it down. ... The Oxford English Dictionary traces the first use of “soft-pedal” as a verb to 1915, in The Saturday Evening Post. It took another thirty-seven years for it to transmute into a noun, “soft-pedaling.” Some say this term came from the soft-pedal of a piano.
Pedal peddle petal
A pedal is a lever controlled with the foot, such as found on a piano or a bicycle. To pedal is to use such a lever to control something. ... To peddle can mean to travel around selling items (think door-to-door salesmen). . . .
Well, I certainly don't want to soft sell the beauty of these petals, nor do I want to go door to door to sell them . . . but I hope you enjoy my soft petals . . . .
Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much. Be safe and be kind to one another!
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!
