Description
I was crossing the street and heading for home after taking some pictures of a lovely sunset and scene. I looked down when I got to the curb and here it was! My shot of the day. Just a couple of Fall leaves had landed on this textured surface which I guess would be called a handicap accessible ramp. Our city, Columbus, Ohio, spent quite a bit of money in recent years making sure that every ramp in the city was accessible for all to use. I am so glad they did. I am sure it benefits many, many people and it gave me something pretty to see and be grateful for!

While a pretty pink, these add such an industrial element which pulls the 21st century into a simple walk in the neighborhood. I always think of the why for these ramps which have appeared all over St. Louis. It's sad to think that so many people need them.

It sure is sad, Nancy...but good that our society is willing to help where we can

Fun shot & happy circumstance to have leaves with similar tones. Our ramps are not so colorful and pretty!
