Description
My backyard garden is a peaceful place that is full of life! It is quiet, yet full of nature's sounds . . . I almost always see one or more squirrels and chipmunks scurrying around, birds flying, eating or resting in the trees . . . and of course, my favorite, butterflies fluttering around in happy whispers! Do you see the Cardinal sitting in the tree?
Some of the plants you can see here are: Russian Sage (Perovskia atriplicifolia), Beebalm (Monarda,) Coreopsis, Coneflower (Echinacea) , Snow in Summer, Phlox, Butterfly bushes and Butterfly Scabiosa. . .

The squirrel must be the guardian of this wonderful garden :) A peaceful romantic place. V14 / f
Karen Adams replied:
Yes, I think the squirrels do think they own the place! There are sometimes five or six of them out there and at least half a dozen chipmunks...lots of scurrying! Thanks for your comments!

Hey you got the grey squirrel in there. I didn't realize that the squirrels stole all my new BULBS I planted this year... I'll know next time to buy some cheap bulbs, and see if they take them. These were the 10 dollar each variety! That was an expensive lunch.. Gorgeous garden! FV 10

What a fantastic flower garden! I love the informality of it, I would call it a country garden. I love the bird feeder! I see a bird it there and I see the cute squirrel, I can almost guarantee that he has visited the bird feeder as well! :D v.f
Karen Adams replied:
Thank you, Debbie..you are right there is a bird at the feeder and a male Cardinal in the small tree to the left and of course, the squirrel (one of many!)
