Description
The world is a very big place and our footsteps cover such a small portion of it. Earth speeds through space around a star in a universe so immense we cannot comprehend. We share this tiny space in time on Earth together. We would all do well to remember that we are all in this together. Actions have ripple effects and major impacts to this planet and its inhabitants. Life is precious; be it human, animal, insect or plant. Bless be the tie that binds our hearts together in love for all around us, for that is how we survive and pass this joyous existence onto future generations.
Hymn by John Fawcett (1782)
Blest be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like to that above.
Before our Father’s throne,
We pour our ardent prayers;
Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one,
Our comforts, and our cares.
We share our mutual woes,
Our mutual burdens bear;
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear.
When we asunder part,
It gives us inward pain;
But we shall still be joined in heart,
And hope to meet again.
