Description
It was a cold December day in Columbus, Ohio. My little old dog and I were slowly walking down the nature path behind our house. The sun was shining and the sky was blue in spite of the biting chill. This tree always catches my eye with the beautiful pattern of deeply cut rings around it. On this day, I had my camera and now I can share with you what I see on my daily walks through the wood!

What an amazing tree, Karen! I wonder what has caused all those rings? It is fascinating! I love the light you captured here, too! Great shot! L

What a wonderful sight!!! Thanks for sharing this delightful pair. The small thorned stem is such a nice counterbalance. f/v++
