Well, we are under stay at home orders in Ohio, which I have to admit isn't so bad. I have a nice dry place to live, a big yard and a dog that likes to go on walks. I have discovered a new treasure online which is called Zoom and so I get to hear and see my loved ones if only on a screen. My mind seems to have divided time now into two spaces: the 'before' time . . . and now the 'after' time where we live now. There was so much that we just took for granted! My beloved soccer team, Liverpool was well on its way to finally winning the English Premier league after 30 years of failure. We only had to win 2 more games and it was mathematically impossible for any other team to beat us . . . but then, the world stopped. It stopped many other thing far more important, but that was painful for us fans around the world. I feel a unity in grief for such a simple thing with so many others around the world. Going to the store, going to games, going to church, registering strangers to vote, the list goes on and on for everyone! We will get through this. It will be painful, but there is another side to get to. The world will beat this virus eventually. . . but I think things will never be the same. We will all feel a little less secure, a little more vulnerable. I pray it will bring the whole world together though.
We truly are all connected to each other. Your actions affect other people. My actions affect my loved ones and strangers I will never know or meet. Wouldn't it be nice if we realize this and live our lives filled with love for every other creature who lives on this earth with us?
