Description
It is cold! Six inches of snow cover the ground and I have so many birds flocking to my feeder out back. I was quite surprised to find this little friend helping himself at the base of the feeder...filling up on sunflower seeds. He seems to be a young thing, not really aware that he is supposed to sneak up at night and eat without being interrupted by a human with a camera. I think I will call him Rocky Raccoon because I have a feeling he will come back for more visits.

Oh boy! Were you right! He made a home first in my husband's outdoor grill, then under our porch....I think we now him him living back in our trees were he belongs...but he does make the trip up the hill each day to feast on what the birds drop!

Oh my goodness, Karen! I can't believe how clear your "wildlife" photos are!!! Ah, Rocky is adorable....although notably quite the thief!!! Well, everyone needs to eat, right?! I just love this shot....he seems to be posing for you!!! Excellent photography! L/F

Oh Karen, you have a little raccoonie in your tree. I'm glad you have a little ROCKY... I hope you are surviving the snow over your way. I think about you often. I hope you are hanging in there and all is well. Until next time... LF4
Karen Adams replied:
Hahaha! I sure thought of you, Kym! This little guy was cute, but I now have an opossum taking over the feeder who seems to have scared this little guy away.
