Description
It was a cloudy hot and humid July day in Ohio. This Zebra Swallowtail seemed to just want to rest with his wings spread wide . . . which made me very happy to be able to get quite close and click away with my macro lens. Butterfly wings are covered with tiny scales and are quite beautiful when viewed so closely!
I have two similar close-up images of these wings. This one is square. You can find both in my Series Gallery and Butterfly Wings Gallery.
