Description
Every day is a gift...that's why it is called the present.
This is a picture of life. Every day we walk down a path and hopefully we are holding on to someone's hand.
It is a picture of love, trust, help, guidance, generations, family, FAITH.
The irony of the title is that this is in my past, but it will always be my present because my mom's love is always with me.
This is my mom with my youngest daughter doing something my mom loved best, walking in nature and being with her family. Her shoulders are bent from the curve in her back, but she was so happy holding this precious hand in hers. This day was like so many others and I know I loved it then. I took a picture of this in my heart to keep forever, but I am so glad I that I also took a picture with my camera. That day was one of the thousands of gifts my mom gave to us everyday of her sweet life. And so my past is my Present . . . but I must always remember that today is the present and treasure each day as well!
The watermark stamp will not appear on any purchased items, but of course the phrase will, a version is also available without words in my Series Gallery.
My Mom loved nature and so do I! I am so concerned about our environment that I have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!

Every day is a gift...that's why it is called the present. That's a great thing to remember, especially with respect to the older ones.

this is just gorgeous. As I set here with my mother in law in her last days on this earth and I await my granddaughter and daughter visit to say good bye It hold a deep meaning for me.
Karen Adams replied:
Oh, Sandra, I am so sorry for the pain you are going through right now. It is such a blessing that you and your daughter & granddaughter can be with her. It is some comfort. I'll say a prayer for you all.

Beautiful and touching story ! One of your best images ! The text on it is hardly needed, but I assume you still have the original one without it.
Karen Adams replied:
Yes, Michel, I sure do have the image without words. It is called "Walk with Grandma" and can be found in my "Family" gallery. Thank you so much for your comments!
