The process of water freezing into ice is one that I take for granted.....don't really think much about it, I have to admit.......but what a wonderful gift it is to us! Besides being extremely beneficial to mankind...keeping food safe longer ....cooling us in extreme heat ....besides all of that....boy! Is it beautiful! It also reminds me of my mom's favorite saying...."This too shall pass." We need to enjoy beauty and joy and life while it is in front of us!
This dam controls a small stream in a wildlife area in a quiet neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio. It is so wonderful to be able to walk to a place so peaceful and where one can think and reflect surrounded by the beauty of nature.
