This is part of a series of images taken on a snowy February day. It had snowed all day Sunday and slowly warmed through the night with precipitation changing to freezing mists in the dawn. The snow slowly became slush, but persisted staying in its frozen state well into the day. The ground was covered in lovely natural abstracts.
As I walked my dog this morning, I realized I was looking down a lot. Not just because I was trying not to slip on the slush beneath me, but because I was seeing beautiful patterns everywhere! I saw footsteps of a fellow neighbor and the paw prints of their companion. It really made a wonderful pattern in front of me and I was kind of sorry to be disturbing the beautiful path they had left. And so, for the rest of the mile or so walk, my mind traveled even farther. I wonder what impact I leave on the world as I pass through it? Do I leave beauty? Do I leave a trail on which others might want to go on? When I leave a room are others glad? Or do the...
