I was helping my Dad clear out his old drafting table while they were preparing to downsize and move to a smaller home. I pulled this little note sized drawing out from the drawer and immediately knew I had found a treasure! He looked at it for a moment and said to just throw it away. I took that as permission to take it home with me. I found the perfect vintage wood frame to put it in and placed it proudly on an end table in my family room. When he visited and saw it, I think even he was surprised at how beautiful it looked! I am not sure where this mill was or if it still stands. I assume it was somewhere in Ohio since he was only 13 when he drew this! I should have asked him then, and now I can't. There are so many questions I wish I would have thought to ask . . . but I am sure happy we spent that time together to find this and that he let me keep it!
