Honk! Honk! A person always knows when a Canada Goose is flying over head. They are certainly very noisy things......and also very messy....but I still think they are beautiful creatures! They are quite common in Ohio and a lot of people think they are a nuisance. They get annoyed by their noise, their mess, their crossing the streets and making people wait. But they are loyal beings which I admire. They are monogamous and stay in family units. I will never forget one day while driving, I passed a group of Canada Geese frantically calling to one of their own which had not made it across the street. Someone was in too big of a rush to stop and one goose lay dead in the street. The other geese were there on the curb not knowing what to do it seemed. They called, but it did not answer. It broke my heart!
