Description
Life is full of circles and patterns. As years go by, I have become more and more intrigued by the different stages of life. I loved the color version of this shot, but after playing with it and giving it a darker more antique kind of feel, I felt I had to include this in my collection too! You can't fully contemplate the circles of life without also thinking about the passage of time.
When I am wandering through my garden with camera & macro lens in hand, I seem to be drawn to different things that I used to pass by. . . waiting for them to bloom before spending time on them! I have a cluster of Purple coneflowers that grow under a shading Redbud tree. In their early stages the buds show no hint of the bright purples and orange cone that will soon brighten that garden spot. The young buds are soft greens and delicate shades of bluish white or sometimes yellow petals. The cones are forming in such beautiful patterns. These tiny growing wonders serve as daily reminders to me to take no part of life for granted. Enjoy the sunny parts, the shady patches, the first attempts, the efforts of growing towards the blossom and finally the bloom. Celebrate today for it is the present.
I really appreciate you taking time to look at my artwork. Thank you so much!
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!
